A collaboration between Phoebe McGowan and myself, “The Inevitable Withdrawal” are fragments of vulnerability between two people who are all too aware of the impermanence of their connection (or
disconnection).

Although it’s not the first piece of music I’ve done, this is the first piece and collaboration I ever did that helped me give meaning to my work, and its significance in my life is something that will consistently feed the music I
make to this day; a birth of an idea, a question, and an answer.
